- Title: Molecular characterization of chalcone synthetase gene family of
the tetraploid cotton cultivar gossypium-hirsutum 108f

- Abstract: chalcone synthetase cdna genes of Antirrhinum majus were used to
describe the molecular organization of similar genes in the cotton
cultivar g. hirsutum 108f. the strategy of the cloning of
individual dna fragments was described. a genome clone was obtained
which contained a fragment of active chalcone synthetase gene. the
gene is affiliated with the 3'-transcribed area. the analysis of
the results of the study makes it possible to confirm the fact that
chalcone synthetase is represented in g. hirsutum 108f genome with
at least 3 types of nucleotide sequences.
