- Abstract: pollen grains of 18 species verbascum agrimoniifolium ssp.
syriacum, verbascum jordanicum, celsia heterophylla, anarrhinium
orientala, linaria chalepensis, linaria gonistifolia, kickxia
aegyptiaca, kickxia floribunda, Antirrhinum majus ssp. tortuosum,
scrophularia xanthoglossa xanthoglossa, digitalia purpurea,
veronica aleppica, veronica angellia-aquetica, veronica orientalis,
bungea trifola, bellardia triago, odontites aucheri, parentucella
latifolia) belonging to 13 different genera of scrophulariaceae
from jordan and iraq were investigated using lm, sem and tem. four
types of pollen grain were distinguished: 1. reticulate to coarsely
reticulate; 2. Striate to striate perforate; 3. Granulate and 4,
rugulate.
