- Seedlings: The seedlings germinate normally but possess no functional
growth cone.
Therefore they become fleshy after some time with a greyish-green and
rough
surface. Branching from the hypocotyl is never seen, though it is common
in
Antirrhinum. The plants remain in this state for weeks and months
before
they finally die.
