- Habit: Shoots arive from hypocotyl. Plants tend to fasciate.
- Leaves: Leaves either grown together (later stages) or cup shaped.
- Seedlings:
- Cotyledones: Cotyledones cup shaped with no functional growth cone.
- Hypocotyl:
- Inflorescence: Show only bracts.
- Flowers: Rare flowers strongly deformed and sterile. Anthers and sepals grown together. Carpels standing free.
- Upper lip:
- Lower lip:
- Bumps: No bumps.
- Seed:
- Roots:
- Remarks: Vegetative backmutation to the normal state occur. Normal appearing side shoots are heterozygote. F2 778:250.
