- Habit: Growth is much retarded. Plants are strong and healthy.
- Leaves: Leaves are bend downdwards in the beginning, are shorter, broader and lighter than normal. Plants attain a size of 15 to 20 cm. Many side shoots directly below inflorescence.
- Seedlings:

- Inflorescence: Inflorescence is much shortened.
- Flowers: Flowers are light with normal feritility and normal size.

- Segregation: F2 26:13.
- Remarks: The mutant nana has been renamed
nananana in contrast to the allele
nanalargiflora
